About the Temporary Tourist

We started this journey July of 2012, leaving the midwest, our friends, family and belongings for what we thought was going to be a 3 month journey to Orlando then off to Parker, CO.  Now, two years later, we are still in Orlando, our belongings still in two storage units in Omaha and separated from friends and family.  We embarked on this journey to experience as much as we could while we could, we never dreamed that it would have lasted this long, and still be going!

As we head into this third year we are excited to see what lies ahead, where the road will take us and what new experiences we will get to tell you about.  From the adventure of marrying off our eldest daughter, to the military retirement of our eldest son and all his medical needs.  With Stevie graduating this fall and Becca possibly heading into missionary work, there are so many doors open for each of us and we expect many new and great things to occur this year.

While we have hopes for what this year brings us, for instance, Aunesty would like to upgrade her photography equipment and take it all on the road in an RV.  Patrick would like to have more time to film new locations and travel to a few spots for some good eats.  But perhaps our biggest hope for this year is to find a home to settle down in, and start to live with our belongings in a neighborhood that will allow for the kids to build life long friendships.  We do know that God will lead our way, no matter whether is with an RV, in Florida, Colorado or even some where we never thought to live.

So as we travel along the journey this year, we look forward to bringing you along with us as we continue being Temporary Tourist’s along the road…
