So last night as we were walking through the Beach Club, we decided to stop by Cape May and take some photos of their buffet. As with most Disney restaurants I have an expectation to be blown away by the food. Especially for the price, Cape May Buffet Dinner is $39.95 per adult.
As I was taking photos of the food, I found that I was actually disappointed in the food selection offered, and thankful we hadn’t decided to eat there. The food looked dried out, and not much different than off site buffets. While I don’t eat Clams or Oysters, I was surprised at how small they were and they looked dry as sand! Their crab legs were thin and appeared to be overcooked as there was no steam or juices flowing
anywhere in their pan. The desserts on the other hand all looked great, which I find to be the case in most of the restaurants around Disney.
I lean more and more to the quick service restaurants around the parks, the more I see the food at the higher priced restaurants. I am sure this is not the popular opinion, but it is mine. So what do you think of how the food looks? I think the food at Hollywood Studios Starring Rolls Cafe looks 100 times better, and well we have eaten there as well. So I know it tastes good. But if I am to compare apples to apples, then at least I found that the Crystal Palace had better appearing food (and it tasted good too!).
