Disney’s Wedding Pavilion

September 9, 2012 by Aunesty Reikofski 2 Comments

I finally got to walk around Disney’s Wedding Pavilion and Francs Wedding Planning yesterday, no rain!  Although it was supposed to be closed, we happened to go between two scheduled weddings and there were cast members there that allowed us in to take pictures.

When you see the Wedding Pavilion from the monorail, it looks so serene and beautiful, so I was really excited to walk around it and have a look in person.  It is very pretty, but on closer inspection the water areas are a bit over grown.  I wish the landscaping would have been better manicured, as the buildings were gorgeous, the setting perfect, but the beach area and the bushes took a little of that away.

Now the chapel, oh my goodness!  Can you say Stunning!?!?!? It was the perfect size, that is if you aren’t having a wedding with 500 guest, it is situated for weddings with 10 to 150 guests.  The aisles are perfectly situated at a slant, and the ends of each pew have hearts!  And when you look up, the ceiling is decorated with hearts in the wood work, as well as hidden mickeys!  But the most beautiful feature, the window behind the altar is a direct view to the castle.  It is absolutely gorgeous!

Some basics:

When you first park and walk up there is a building to your left, this is Francs, the Wedding Planner.  They have some gorgeous sample displays out for inspiration.  I was fortunate to be let in, but to meet with a wedding planner you will need an appointment.

After crossing the bridge, you have two buildings, the chapel to your left and the Brides Vestibule to your right.  Inside the chapel there is a Grooms room with a couch, vanity, two chairs and a private restroom.   In the Brides Vestibule there are two rooms, both have vanities, seating and private bathrooms.  Everything is decorated very beautifully and make for the perfect “getting ready” or “waiting” photos.

But how about I quit talking and just show you?  Here some photos from Disney’s Wedding Pavilion
