Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival Review

October 2, 2012 by Aunesty Reikofski 2 Comments

As we will be visiting the Food and Wine Festival MANY times over the course of the event, this post will be constantly changing, and more photos will be added regularly.  These are our opinions on the food we try, and drinks we have while enjoying this event.

Culinary Offerings:

  • Beef Empanada – $4.00 – Very tasty!  Well seasoned meat in a bready casing.  We enjoyed and will have again.
  • Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Purée – $5.00 –  Stop the Bus and get in line for this!  These are fantastic!  Tender beef that melts in your mouth with a delicious sauce made up of several green spices and olive oil, think parsley like.  If you don’t try these, you will regret it.  The Boniato Puree is garlicky and a the perfect accompaniment to this delightful beef dish.

SCANDINAVIA

  • Taste of Scandinavia: Cured Salmon, Herring and Shrimp Salad – $4.00 – I am so sorry I tasted this, I literally had to spit the Herring into a diaper wipe!  The Shrimp salad was ok, but it tasted more of mayo then anything else.  I don’t recommend purchasing this unless you are a huge Herring fan. YUCK!
  • Swedish Meatballs with Lingonberries – $3.50 – Becca thought this was ok with a weird after taste.  We aren’t fans of the Lingonberries sauce, but this got an ok, we won’t be buying it again.

  • Mango Tapioca Pudding – $3.25 – Wow this was delicious, neither Patrick or I are big Mango fans, but Becca is.  So when we tried it we had our trepidations, but surprisingly this was quite good.  Had a vanilla caramel taste to it.

Thanks for all the reviews on the booths. My husband & I were looking through the pictures and I was saying, “I really want to go to the Argentina booth. It looks so yummy!” I’m so glad to hear a good review for it. My girls will love the waffle from Belgium!
