Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom is again the most visited theme park in the world averaging almost 53,000 guests per day.  As per the newly released TEA/AECOM Theme Park Attendance Report for 2014, Magic Kingdom saw an 4% increase in attendance from year 2013.

Disney parks globally took 9 of the top 10 most visited theme parks in the world in 2014.

Not surprisingly, Disney theme parks also dominate in North America with the top 6 theme parks as well:

As a company, Disney saw 1.3% attendance growth for all its parks in 2014 while Universal’s theme parks saw over 10% growth:

Here are the numbers for the Orlando theme parks for 2014, including Disneyland:

  • Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom had 52,964 average visitors per day in 2014 totaling 19,332,000 for the year and is the #1 theme park in the world and North America by attendance.
  • Disneyland had 45,942 average visitors per day in 2014 totaling 16,769,000 for the year and is the #3 theme park in the world and the #2 theme park in North America by attendance.
  • EPCOT at Walt Disney World had 31,380 average visitors per day in 2014 totaling 11,454,000 for the year and is the #6 theme park in the world and the #3 theme park in North America by attendance.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom had 28,498 average visitors per day in 2014 totaling 10,402,000 for the year and is the #7 theme park in the world and the #4 theme park in North America by attendance.
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios had 28,252 average visitors per day in 2014 totaling 10,312,000 for the year and is the #8 theme park in the world and the #5 theme park in North America by attendance.
  • Disney’s California Adventure had 24,024 average visitors per day in 2014 totaling 8,769,000 for the year and is the #10 theme park in the world and the #6 theme park in North America by attendance.
  • Universal Studios of Orlando had 22,638 average visitors per day in 2014 totaling 8,263,000 for the year and is the #11 theme park in the world and the #8 theme park in North America by attendance.
  • Islands of Adventure of Orlando had 22,304 average visitors per day in 2014 totaling 8,141,000 for the year and is the #12 theme park in the world and the #7 theme park in North America by attendance.
  • SeaWorld Orlando had 12,830 average visitors per day in 2014 totaling 4,683,000 for the year and is the #22 theme park in the world and the #10 theme park in North America by attendance.
Quick hits and standouts:
  • Magic Kingdom’s year over year attendance slowed down to 4% growth in 2014 from 6% in 2013.
  • Universal Studios saw a huge 17% attendance increase in 2014 with the opening of Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley opening.
  • SeaWorld Orlando continues its attendance slide as growth deteriorated 8% in 2014.
