We don’t usually catch any of the parades at the parks, but yesterday at Magic Kingdom we timed everything just right and managed to catch two parades. As we were leaving, the Move it! Shake it! Celebrate it! Street Party was making their entrance. The funny part of this, I was lagging behind Patrick, Becca and the babies as I was taking pictures of the new Halloween Merchandise. So not knowing where they were, other than we would meet in the front, I stopped to watch the parade and take some pictures. Little did I know, that Patrick had a similar thought, and had stopped and started taking video of the end of the parade. After we got home and were reviewing his video of the parade and my pictures, we noticed that he videoed me taking pictures, and I took pictures of him and Carson watching and videoing the parade!
Anyhow, onto the Magic Kingdom Street Party. For those of you who don’t know what this is, it is really quite neat. You see several floats with characters and dancers come out and head down Main Street USA to come to a stop in front of the castle. The characters get off their floats and dance in the street with the park guests. Yes, you get to take your kiddos into the street and dance with the characters. It can really be a lot of fun, and one of only interactive experiences some children get with several of the characters.
Here are the pictures I got 08/25/13, as well as Patrick’s Video
Patrick did an updated Video on 01/15/14
