It’s not everyday you can see a shooting star in the sky, but today proved to be a one-of-a-kind day as I saw and recorded on video a meteor falling behind Cinderella Castle at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
It was one of those days where I had my GoPro videoing my walk down Main Street with my two kids, Carson and Courtney. I was really recording the video to capture all the people during Easter week/Spring Break week as the crowds were pretty high for the past couple of weeks. I really didn’t even notice the shooting star in the sky behind the Magic Kingdom castle, but saw it when I was reviewing my footage.
Here’s the video, in case you haven’t seen it yet:
Most people have seen the Walt Disney movie beginning with the animated shooting star over the castle, as seen below:
So, it really seems nature played along and gave people who actually noticed a neat show. No fast passes needed for this spectacular sight!
One more thing: you know what today is, right?
