Anna and Elsa Meet and Greet Standby Line Removal Test – One Year Later

One year ago today, Walt Disney World started a three day standby line test on its most popular attraction: the Anna and Elsa Meet and Greet inside the Princess Fairy Tale Hall in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. The Anna and Elsa standyby line test was the first of three attractions to undergo this test: the other two being Soarin at Epcot and Toy Story Mania at Hollywood … [Read more...]

The Main Street hub area in front of Cinderella Castle is starting to take shape as the new area in front of Casey's Corner is now open to guests.  Plaza Gardens West was opened on February 25th for guests to walk through at their leisure.  Astro turf has been laid in the area and we found several guests using the fake grass to lay on and take a break from their vacation day.  … [Read more...]

Peter Pan’s Flight Debuts New Standby Queue Line

If you've been a recent guest in the past few months at Disney World's Magic Kingdom, you've may have noticed the standby queue line at Peter Pan's Flight in Fantasyland was under construction.  Wait times for the Peter Pan ride has historically been amongst the longest of all the Magic Kingdom rides as average wait times seem to be around 50 to 60 minutes at any given time.  … [Read more...]

Perfect Places to Poop at Disney World

We all have to do it:  we need to use a bathroom.  It's a normal bodily function and can't be put off for any long stretch of time.  And we have to use the bathroom no matter where we go.  If you're going to Disney World and spending hours at one of the four parks, you're going to use a bathroom at some point. So, let's talk about those Walt Disney World restrooms.  If you … [Read more...]

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Car Ride at Magic Kingdom

The latest attraction being constructed at DisneyWorld's Magic Kingdom is the thrill ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train car ride.  Located in the New Fantasyland, this new roller coaster is set in the scene of a jewel mine.  Riders will be taken both inside and outside of a mine in a side-to-side swaying mine car.  Disney officials have compared the intensity of this new ride between … [Read more...]

Angel’s Surprise Marriage Proposal at Cinderella’s Castle Magic Kingdom DisneyWorld

Our daughter Angel has been dating her boyfriend Seth for over 3 years.  They met while our two families lived in Omaha.  When Seth and his family moved to Colorado, Angel moved out to be near him a few months later. A couple of weeks ago Seth called Aunesty and asked for permission to marry Angel and also asked for help in planning the proposal.  Angel's dream has … [Read more...]

Tomorrowland Speedway at DisneyWorld

Who's ready to get your gas powered speed on?  If you've been to Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland, there's no missing the huge and noisy Tomorrowland Speedway.  Located next to Space Mountain and bordering the new Fantasyland, the Tomorrowland Speedway is one of the original rides since the Magic Kingdom park opened in 1971. Four lanes of two seater cars roll across a … [Read more...]

Mad Tea Party ride at Disney World Magic Kingdom

The Mad Tea Party ride in Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland seems to be one of those "overlooked" DisneyWorld rides.  If you are like our family and think about attraction rides at DisneyWorld, you would probably think of the most popular rides like Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Peter Pan just to name a few.  Carson and Courtney aren't tall enough to go on those … [Read more...]

The Changing of the Seasons at Magic Kingdom, It’s Fall 2013!

I miss the midwest, for several reasons, but mostly I miss the seasons.  A fall afternoon in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Colorado are just about the same.  A Crispness to the air, oranges, reds and yellows surrounding you in natures color show.  The smell of fireplaces, rain and baking filter through the air.  Yes Fall is my favorite time of year, and down here in Orlando, … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday – Summertime

Wordless Wednesday – Summertime

To me Summer time means WATER! bathing suits and swimming.  Since the Florida summers are so incredibly hot, we tend to bring bathing suits with us where ever we go.  Well for the babies at least!  With each of the Disney Parks, Down Town Disney, Both Universal Parks and Universal City Walk all having water play areas, we frequently include an hour or two of water time. Also … [Read more...]
