It happened, we finally left something of greater value than a lost a bottle in the parks. Well greater emotional value that is. A couple of weeks ago we headed out for a few hours to go to Blizzard Beach.
After splashing around in the kids area for a couple of hours, we decided it was time to go. At some point one person handed another person Carson’s Buzz light year towel (purchased from Magic Kingdom Space Ranger Spin) and his Thomas the Train t-shirt (his FAVORITE one). Said person set them down on a chair, and started collecting things, washing sand off feet and we all headed out….
Fast Forward one week… yes ONE WEEK later. We are getting ready for the day and Carson is asking for his Thomas Shirt. I can’t find it anywhere. So I start to worry, but convince him to wear his other Thomas shirt. The next day we are heading to Venice Beach to collect Sharks Teeth, and I am packing up towels. I can’t find Carson’s Buzz towel. I just assume it must be in the van and we pack up.
After getting everyone in the van, we start driving to the beach and I ask Becca to check for Carson’s towel in the back. Well she couldn’t find it and that started the conversation in the van about where it could be…. Pat pipes up with, “do you think it could have been left at Blizzard Beach?”. At this point I am thinking there is no other conclusion. It was clearly not at home and now we can’t find it in the van. So Pat pipes up again with, “Why not call lost and found and see if they have it”. Well I laugh at this. I mean I literally laughed and said, yeah right! But to humor him, I did it, I called Walt Disney World’s Lost and Found Number (see our free printable WDW Phone List).
The cast member on the phone was very polite, asked me a few questions, and then placed me on hold while she went and looked to see if our towel had been turned in. The entire time I was on hold I made mutiple comments along the lines of, yeah right someone turned in a towel at Blizzard Beach, I am sure someone saw it and just walked off with it… you get the idea… I also got to thinking about Carson’s missing Thomas the Train t-shirt and wondered to Pat if that was with his towel.
After about two or three minutes she returned, and said they had our towel! Of course at this point, I ask her, any chance that towel was turned in with a 4t Thomas the Train dark gray t-shirt???? She laughed, and said hold on one minute, and less than a minute a later she returned to say, Yes, we have your son’s t-shirt too! She told me that I could go pick up our items at the Lost and Found outside of the TTC (Ticket and Transportation Center). Just to tell whomever was there that it was in the “Friday” box.
So we continued on to Venice Beach for the Shark Teeth Collecting adventure, and decided to head to the TTC the next day to pick up Carson’s belongings. I knew right where she was talking about going, it used to be the Pet Care Center and I always had wanted to see inside there.
Well the next day we headed on over to the Lost Found Center at Walt Disney World Ticket and Transportation Center. I walked in and told the woman behind the counter that I had a bag for Patrick in the Friday box. She said ok, and went and grabbed a bag with Carson’s Thomas Tee and Buzz Light Year Towel. Simple easy and I am still shocked that they were found.
We decided it had to be a cast member who turned in everything. That the park guests just let our stuff sit on a chair and didn’t touch it. Then at the end of hte day, a cast member must have found our stuff and turned it. Regardless of how it was found, we are VERY THANKFUL that someone turned it in. That particular Thomas Shirt was one Carson asked for and I feel was a gift from God to him. We were headed to Old Navy for a new polo for him, and he kept asking for a Thomas the Train shirt, and sitting right beside the polo I picked out for him was this Thomas shirt. In is size. On Clearance for $3. The ONLY one. After we paid for it. In the MIDDLE of the Florida Mall. Carson took his shirt off and took his NEW Thomas shirt out of the bag and put it on. Yeah, finding this shirt again was a BIG deal!
So have you had to visit Lost and Found at Walt Disney World?

I’ve never visited the lost and found, but I got something sent back to my house! I lost a prescription in some park somewhere! I couldn’t figure out where exactly we were that day or what attraction it could have been on because we park hopped, but I can only assume that it fell out of my bag on a roller coaster. I was annoyed but the medication was almost finished anyways, so I just got a new refill when I got home. A week after returning home I got a package in the mail. It was my medication! The packaging was all black and gross, but there it was! I couldn’t believe it! My name and address was on the medication label so they sent it to me! I was just amazed, I still am, that they bothered to send it to me. Love Disney!!!!
Wow!!! Love it!!!
