Towneplace Suites by Marriott, Columbia SC

October 17, 2012 by Aunesty Reikofski 2 Comments

We recently took a trip to south Carolina for our sons US Army Family day and BCT Graduation.  Since we were going for a week we wanted to stay at a hotel that offered a kitchen in the room.  After much research, we decided on the Towneplace Suites by Marriott.  We got an Army BCT rate of $99 a night for a two queen room with a pull out sofa.  They provided a pack-n-play for Courtney as well. The pool was closed for the season, so we didn’t get to check that out, but they did run a fire pit every night.  It was quite lovely and very relaxing.

Location: Within in 1o minutes of the Main PX on Ft Jackson, and with in 5 minutes of a Wal Mart, Target, Multiple Grocery stores, a Walgreens and many restaurants.  5 Stars

Cleanliness:  For those of you who aren’t aware of our judging standards – our 1 year old crawled around on the floor of our room in white pants, and they were still white when we picked her up.  5 Stars

Breakfast: COMPLIMENTARY, it is your basic continental breakfast, a waffle maker, microwave Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, orange juice, apple juice, yogurt… 2 Stars

Room: Our room was HUGE!  We had four adults and two infants in it, and it was the perfect size for us.  The kitchen area was adequate, the large dining table was a fantastic bonus. 5 Stars

Definitely a hotel I will be recommending to other families traveling to Ft Jackson.
