Sadly, we have only been Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion three times in the last 9 months. Hard to believe, right! You see, it isn’t one of the babies favorites, and the area to enter the ride is usually too crowded for us to safely (quietly) get through. Also, we have a bit of a “curse” that follows us around on this particular ride. You see, we ALWAYS get stuck on it. For some reason the ride always stops when we are on it, and never in a good area. Always where something is popping up, or while we are turned funny, or right next to a speaker.
I have such fond memories of this ride from my childhood, the Disneyland version. It was my first taste of what Halloween should feel like. You know that just on the edge of scary, with a little bit of humor. I always loved how the Mansion looked at night as well. Stately, Majestic and scary. While I prefer the Disneyland Haunted Mansion, Walt Disney World’s is also quite stately and majestic. While just a front facade, it reminds me of a house that would be down here in the southern states.
It is quite hard to get good pictures of this beautiful ride, but I have managed to get a few that I hope you enjoy.
