Disney After Hours Now Offering 50% Discounts for Annual Passholders and DVC Members

April 26, 2016 by Patrick Reikofski Leave a Comment

Disney is now offering AP’s and DVC members tickets to the Disney After Hours events at half price.

Disney After Hours Cinderella Castle

A quick call to Disney’s ticketing center confirmed the $149 price for the three hour event held for 7 nights (2 nights have already passed) will now be priced at $75 for guests who are current WDW annual passholders and members of the DVC program.

The remaining five nights the Disney After Hours events will be held are:

  • Thursday April 28th 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM
  • Thursday May 5th 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM
  • Sunday May 8th 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM
  • Thursday May 12th 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM
  • Thursday May 19th 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM

No word from Disney on why the discount is now being offered after 2 nights of the events have been held.  Many on social media have speculated the events have been a failure/financial loss for the company in terms of low ticket sales.  While Disney has never stated what the maximum number of tickets to be sold is, many thought the cap would be 3000 people.

While difficult to verify any actual crowd numbers, those who’ve attended the first two events felt there were only around 1000 – 1500 people for each event.  DVC members went to social media the day of the first event to announce they were offered free tickets while a few people even stated CM’s were giving out free tickets for the second event.
