Disney The Never Girls Book Series #4 from the mist

A couple weeks ago we were asked if we would like to review From the Mist, the fourth book in the Disney The Never Girl book series.  Since we are big readers in our house, I said absolutely.  When From the Mist showed up in the mail, I was excited to start reading it, but then I realized, I can’t start a series in the 4th book.  So I took out my iPad and headed over to Amazon and downloaded the first three books in the series onto my Kindle app.

Oh my goodness!  I wish this series would have been around when Angel and Becca were younger!  With my love of the original Peter Pan story and Tinkerbell, these books are just up my alley.  I could go on about all four books in this series, but since I am supposed to be writing a review on the fourth book, From the Mist, I am going to focus on it for a moment.

I really enjoyed that if I would have wished to, I could have easily just jumped into From the Mist and not really have been lost.  The author,  Kiki Thorpe did a great job at telling the back story without taking away from the current book.

But, the intro to each book, read to you, by me from The Never Girls From the Mist, is perhaps one of my favorite book intros ever!

In this fourth book in the The Never Girls Series, Kate takes off on a Mist Horse, and the adventure of finding her is left to the other three with the help of of many familiar characters, Silvermist, Vidia, Queen Clarion and more of the familiar Pixies from Pixie Hollow.

As far as I am concerned, this is a must have set for any girl from 1st grade to 3rd grade.

These book are written with girls aged 6 – 9 in mind, but I find that they are cute and I am looking forward to Carson and Courtney getting a little older so I can read these books to them!

You see the main characters of The Never Girl Series are these four girls. There’s Kate, an energetic an occasionally overconfident athletic Peter-Pan type.  It was Kate through Kate that the girls even end up in Never Land.  Then there’s Mia, a girly girl who is smart.  Mia is Kate’s best friend, even though she is the opposite. Next up is Gabby, Mia’s baby sister, who like her sister is a strong belief in all things make believe and of fairies of course.  Lastly we have Lainey, a shy girl who is loyal to her friends.
