This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gulf County, Florida for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
Like we discussed a few weeks ago, we have lived in Florida for almost 2 and a half years and we still haven’t seen much of it, other than the theme parks. We did our southern FL weekender to Miami and well, it isn’t our thing. While the Key Biscanye was beautiful and peaceful, Miami was too much for us and our family. So I started looking north, and I think it is time we go exploring in Gulf County.
While I am looking for a place that is scenic for photos, I am also wanting a place that has a nice laid back family fun vibe. From what I have seen, I think we can accomplish that with a visit to Port St. Joe and the Dead Lakes.
With the pet friendly beaches and beautiful white sands, I am pretty sure the two little ones would be happy just doing that.
But after exploring the Gulf County website, Come visit GCFL and their Winter Fun Events Website, I was able to find several things to do that sound like a blast.
Only second to shooting some great photos is my love of shelling and doing an Indian Pass or Cape Sans Bliss shelling day would be blast! I am sure I can get the babies to agree to shell with me.
How about Horseback riding on the beach? Imagine the fun and photos I could get doing that at say sunrise or sunset? I am not sure if I could talk Becca into staying back in a rental while we went to ride, but I would sure try!
I am almost afraid that I will want to stay in Gulf County once I get there for a weekend. I wonder if this would be a good final stop in Florida after Becca heads off to Bethany.
Have you been to Gulf County Florida? What would you recommend we do while there? Any tricks or tips for us?
