How Much Will it Cost to Stay in EVERY WDW Resort

May 30, 2013 by Aunesty Reikofski 3 Comments

I have this goal to stay in every one of the Walt Disney World Resorts, I know I am not alone in this either.  I hear it all the time, how someone wants to try each of the resorts, from the Value to the Moderates to Deluxes and the Villas.  So I got to thinking, how much would it cost to stay in each resort for one night?  And how much would it cost to stay in all the rooms that I would want to try?

how-much-to-stay-wdw

I am going to run through several scenarios in accomplishing this goal

  • Scenario #1 – One night consecutive per resort for 26 nights
  • Scenario #2 – 3 consecutive nights per resort with 6 nights per vacation, once a year over 13 years
  • Scenario #3 – 2 nights per resort, 6 nights per vacation, 2 vacations per year for 5 years

There are 26 total Resorts/Villas owned and operated by WDW

  •  1 campground
  • 5 Value Resorts
  • 4 Moderate Resorts
  • 12 Deluxe Resorts
  • 4 Villa Resorts

So lets get this started:

Scenario #1 – $8,000

We need to establish a few things first…. Since it will take at least 26 nights to stay at each resort, and assuming one did this either straight through or in the same 12 months, it would make more sense to have an annual pass instead of purchasing daily tickets, or if you wanted to only do the resorts, then to not have a ticket to the parks.  With this in mind I am running the prices of the rooms without adding in any packages and with the resort room only rate.  I am also going to run this as if I were going to stay at one resort a night for 26 nights in a row, in September 2013.

Campsite at Fort Wilderness 9/3/2013  $        54.00
All Star Music 9/4/2013  $     102.00
All Star Movies 9/5/2013  $     102.00
All Star Sports 9/6/2013  $     124.00
Pop Century 9/7/2013  $     135.00
Art of Animation 9/8/2013  $     118.00
Caribbean Beach 9/9/2013  $     191.00
Port Orleans Riverside 9/10/2013  $     205.00
Port Orleans French Quarter 9/11/2013  $     203.00
Coronado Springs 9/12/2013  $     197.00
Animal Kingdom Lodge 9/13/2013  $     336.00
Wilderness Lodge 9/14/2013  $     342.00
Cabins at Fort Wilderness 9/15/2013  $     325.00
Saratoga Springs 9/16/2013  $     368.00
Old Key West 9/17/2013  $     368.00
Contemporary 9/18/2013  $     371.00
Beach Club 9/19/2013  $     405.00
Yacht Club 9/20/2013  $     422.00
BoardWalk Inn 9/21/2013  $     433.00
Polynesian 9/22/2013  $     475.00
Bay Lake Tower 9/23/2013  $     485.00
Grand Floridian 9/24/2013  $     540.00
Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House 9/25/2013  $     352.00
BoardWalk Villas 9/26/2013  $     405.00
Animak Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village 9/27/2013  $     468.00
Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge 9/28/2013  $     474.00
Total    $  8,000.00

Scenario #2 – $23,979

In this scenario I would go on vacation to Walt Disney World once a year for 6 nights each visit.  For three nights I would stay in one hotel and for the other three nights I would stay in a second hotel.  Without factoring in the cost of park tickets, food, any other travel expenses or the price of inflation over the next 13 years.

Campsite at Fort Wilderness  $        162.00
All Star Music  $        306.00
All Star Movies  $        306.00
All Star Sports  $        306.00
Pop Century  $        339.00
Art of Animation  $        354.00
Caribbean Beach  $        573.00
Port Orleans Riverside  $        573.00
Port Orleans French Quarter  $        573.00
Coronado Springs  $        591.00
Animal Kingdom Lodge  $    1,209.00
Wilderness Lodge  $        960.00
Cabins at Fort Wilderness  $        975.00
Saratoga Springs  $    1,104.00
Old Key West  $    1,104.00
Contemporary  $    1,710.00
Beach Club  $    1,182.00
Yacht Club  $    1,182.00
BoardWalk Inn  $    1,215.00
Polynesian  $    1,425.00
Bay Lake Tower  $    1,455.00
Grand Floridian  $    1,620.00
Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House  $    1,056.00
BoardWalk Villas  $    1,215.00
Animak Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village  $    1,242.00
Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge  $    1,242.00
Total  $  23,979.00

Scenario #3 – $15,986

Similar to scenario #2, I go on vacation for 6 nights, but in this scenario I go twice a year and only stay at each hotel for 2 nights.  That would allow me to stay at 6 hotels per year, which after 4.5 years I will have stayed at all 26 resorts.

Campsite at Fort Wilderness  $        108.00
All Star Music  $        204.00
All Star Movies  $        204.00
All Star Sports  $        204.00
Pop Century  $        226.00
Art of Animation  $        236.00
Caribbean Beach  $        382.00
Port Orleans Riverside  $        382.00
Port Orleans French Quarter  $        382.00
Coronado Springs  $        394.00

Ha, yeah we all so share some of the same goals – we have 11 down, only 15 to go 🙂

This is cool. Why didn’t you include the Disney Swan and Dolphin? I know they are operated by Starwood Hotels, but they are still Disney hotels that offer the same benefits (Extra Magic hours, transportation, Disney store gift shops, etc.) and they are beautiful hotels.

I am doing a seperate post that includes all the resorts on site – Swan and Dolphin included with the Downtown Disney Resorts – – because the Swan and Dolphin are not owned and operated by Disney, I didn’t include them in this particular post.
