July 17, 2012 – Nothing Truly Exciting

July 24, 2012 by Aunesty Reikofski Leave a Comment

We decided on a lay low day today since tomorrow will be a long drive to Foster NE and I had several loads of laundry to get done.  We decided to take advantage of the slow day to get two new tires on the van as well.  After our trip to the mountains, I was very glad Patrick decided to get this done sooner than later.

I will say that getting the tires done was quite the experience though.  Who knew that getting two tires for a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country Touring would be so hard!  No one had them in stock! In case you want to check – try looking for two 225/65-r16.  After calling around 8 places we finally found a shop – Discount Tire off of Lincoln and 20 Mile Rd in Parker had some and was able to get us in.  So Pat, Gabe and the babies went to get those put on while I worked, packed and got our laundry ready.   In case you wanted to know – two new tires installed = $310.

After we got the laundry done, we decided to go ahead and head to the Wells Fargo Bank where Angel works, so we could open two savings accounts.  One for Carson and one for Courtney.  It was neat as a mom to see my daughter at her first real grown up job.  All dressed up and looking so professional.  She went on lunch while we were there, so Carson got to see her for a bit before she left.

We drove to red rocks to have a look around, and discovered that Chicago would be playing there that evening.  It is really pretty up there.  I am determined to see a concert there the next time we are back.  I do love the little town at the bottom of Red Rock, Morrison, CO.  I may have to check out houses there.  Since we were ready to get out of the van, and we needed to get some rice cereal for Courtney, we decided to take a little drive over to the Colorado Mills Mall in Lakewood.  Wow what a mall!  Talk about pretty!  I must go back when I need to shop and take my Becca and Angel with me!

We had thought we would go swimming at Angel’s that evening, but there were storm clouds everywhere, so we decided on picking her up and heading to the new Disney Store in the Park Meadows Mall.  Again, what a beautiful mall!  Carson was in heaven when we got to the Disney Store.  He kept picking up all things Buzz and Woody and bringing them to daddy to put in the stroller.  When he saw Meridia and the bears, oh my was he excited!  I can’t wait until we get to Walt Disney World.  He is going to LOVE It!

Basically it was a calm day of getting stuff done and just hanging out.

Tomorrow we head back to Nebraska.
