My Inappropriate WDW Bucket List

June 25, 2013 by Aunesty Reikofski 14 Comments

aunesty-hpSince we moved down here to Walt Disney World I have been looking at Disney in a whole new way.  I have discovered when you are not rushing everything in in a set time that you start to become creative with the things you want to do inside the parks.  So because of this burst of “creativity” I have come up with my not so appropriate WDW  bucket list.

I am sure this list of items is going to get some interesting comments….some of you may have all ready thought of these things, or even done them, while others maybe appalled.  But I figure hey it’s my list and as long as I am not hurting anyone and not breaking any rules or laws I am good to include it on my list… So Here We Go

1.  Drink around the world while on scooters, and I don’t mean enjoy a few drinks.  I want to have a night like I am in my 20’s again, but driving the scooters instead of walking it.  We do have plans to accomplish this list item in November.  You see my in-laws, Patrick’s mom and dad, will be joining us for a couple of weeks, and we have all ready discussed the idea with them, and my Father-in-law is MORE than willing to help me cross this off my list.  Yeah for Dads!

2.  Watch the Superbowl at the ESPN Zone on the Boardwalk – I want to be a part of the party at the ESPN Zone during the biggest football game of the year. Besides with the free Disney transportation, I don’t have have to worry about who will be the Designated Driver.  I figure we grab a room at the Boardwalk or one of the other resorts along the boat route there and drink and party to our hearts content as we cheer our team on.

3.  Kissing in Ride Photos – Now we have managed to do one photo while we were kissing, Expedition Everest, but I want to have one for every ride we can.  I know Space Mountain is a no go and so is Rock n Roller Coaster, it would have to be a hand kiss or none at all.  But Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin and Test Track are all a possibility.

4.  Princess Day – Since Disney doesn’t allow girls older than 12 do the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, I would have to do this off site first, BUT… I would love to go to the parks with a select group (my daughters, Angel and Becca, and My Besties, Cori and Dianna) all done up like Disney Princesses.  I want the bun with pixie dust, the sash, tiara and yes the Dress with the sparkly shoes.  I want to walk around the park and wish little girls a magical day, I want to take ride photos as a princess and I want to do the princess wave to all the princesses as they pass by in the parade. (Now I am quite sure that Disney won’t allow us to enter the park as Princesses… but I can dream…)

5.  Make out – Yes I said it, I want to make out with my hot husband, like we are teenagers on the following rides:

  • The People Mover
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  • Maelstrom
  • The Great Movie Ride

6.  Pinch Prince Charming’s Butt – enough said {more of a fun dream, than anything I would actually do}

7.  Have a picnic in the Aquarium on the second floor of The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion

8.  Photo bomb family pictures throughout the park

9.  Do Ellen’s Dance Dare behind random guests and as many characters as possible

10.  I want to one day hand something out to people.  You know on a rainy day have like 100 ponchos and just randomly hand them out to surprise people, or on a hot day, have a bag of Popsicle and just give them out.  Or fans, or candy, or something…. I think it would be a blast to be like, oh your hot, here you go and walk away….

11.  Plan a flash mob for inside of Epcot, for right before illuminations.  Have hundreds of people all ready to sing and dance in every country 10 minutes before the fireworks start…. You know, right when the voice comes over “and Now Illuminations, Reflections of Earth…” have everyone stop dancing and turn to watch the show

12.  Have an “adult” beverage in all four theme parks in one day… For MK that would mean a reservation at Be our Guest…

13.  Go camping and have a campfire party at Disney’s Fort Wilderness.  With a group of friends, I want to reserve four or five campsites, all together and just have a great camping weekend full of nightly campfires with coolers full of drinks. (and s’mores)

For now, this is my inappropriate bucket list, ok a few items are not necessarily inappropriate, but this is my amended adult version… Which I am sure will continue to grow.

I am open to new suggestions and ideas to add to my list.

I want to see pictures of you pinch Prince Charming’s butt. That could be a challenge since he wears a tunic.

The only problem with the “scooters” is if you mean the Segways (two wheeled ones standing upright) they make you do a class and an obstacle course, and people get in the way. I did a tour with them in 2010 and they had us do the bulk of it before the World Showcase opened. Unless you mean the “hoveround” kind of scooters in which case that’s totally less work physically!

Also when they turned me away at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique my boyfriend got me a Pink Princess Sash, a Tiara, some glitter and I took out my makeup kit and did it myself, he brought me to where the little girls all did their photos after their makeovers and got them to take my pictures just like all of them posing like “my favorite princess.” I had just graduated undergrad and it was my 21st birthday… there was no way he was letting them ruin the magic for me!

That’s one of the photos he took.

I LOVE your flash mob idea! that would be EPIC. You have to do that one day. Good Luck and have fun!

I love your list!!! Definitely dress up as a princess and go for Mickey’s Halloween Party (or whatever they are calling it these days) with all your Princess sisters. I promise you, it will be so much fun. And the Princesses that live in the park will definitely interact with you. Last year I went as the Fairy Godmother and had the best time. I even had two children ask to have pictures taken with me. (Yes, I know that’s a no no, but they were so sweet I couldn’t resist.) My husband was Waldo (yes, not Disney, but at least my very reserved guy dressed up). He ended up photo bombing a lot of pictures, but it was great. Now those people can say “I found Waldo” when they are looking at their pics. It’s really fun to photobomb. 🙂

I love your idea of giving out stuff. This has lit a spark in me. I’m definitely going to start stocking up on cheap ponchos or glow sticks or pennies for the pressed penny machine to hand out to children. Thank you for the great idea!!

I work at Disneyland and we have guests that do things similar to this. During Christmas season, there is a mother and daughter (now 10 or 11) that hand mini Christmas stockings with a candy cane to all the Cast Members. They spend all year hand making these mini stockings. I still have mine from 3 years ago and hang it on our tree.
There is also an elderly couple that come every year on there anniversary. They give Cast Members a button that they have custom made. It changes every year, but you will always see “Thank You For Making Magic” somewhere on the button.
As a Cast Member, it’s small things like this that make working in the parks so much fun. Even asking a Cast Member to be in one of your photos can be special.

I never even thought that cast members would like to be in pics. I would love to give gifts to a couple cast members. 2 in particular. One is a guy that works at 1900 Park Faire. 7+ years ago did one of the most amazing things- we still talk about him today. When we went back a couple months ago we found out he still works there. We are going to have to make him something special to commemorate him. Also the the “pin expert” we talk to all the time- I believe his name is Mark. Now I am excited to pass the magic forward!

#13 is a great way to enkoy the world. Keep you tv at home take the cell phone and campout. I camped out in 1997 for 10 day. I had been let go of my job of 16 yrs to the day I started and I had the money and the unemlpoyment adn extra fund to do that. But go during Oct. Best weather and time to go Halloween. All the camper set up their campgrounds set up some sort of display . For me it was needed . I took the summer off. I had vacactions. But I had been working from age 13 till age of 35 when I got laid offf from work. I needed the time for fun. I took the summer off. Then did Disney like I wanted too. I had camped our before and I loved. No TV or anything like that. Time to figure some things out and go on with my life. I say do it. make sure to have cell phones . FW has a great bar and you can get cabs to take you where you need to go. After I came back I figured out what I neeeded to do with my life and I had 2 months of unemployment leftf. I applied at the other TV station in town and they hired me part time 2 weeks before my unemployment ran out. By the time I got home. The new boss called and said were going to make it full time . With the rate of pay you had when you was at the other TV station and we will give you weekends off. Iit was great. also The new TV station I went to work for treated me better in the 4 yrs I worked there than the TV station I put my blood ,sweat and tears in for 16 yrs. I have stayey at many of the hotels in the hotel Plaza during the 80’s an dearly 90’s and stayed a few night at the Contemporary 2 days in 1992. It was kinda in need of refurbishment then and it was a liitle disappointing to me. But they hace brought it back. But the times I have stayed at FW and camped. They were the best. a good way to enjoy the parks and then come back and actually meet and have a good conversation to meet other peoplr. Sorry for the long story. But that’s how I roll. lol
