I wish I could take credit for finding this little nugget of information, but I can’t. Patrick and Becca were having one of their weird in the van conversations, and something about Goofy being a dog came up. It took a weird turn, and then Becca started Googling Goofy. Next she informed us of this little golden nugget:
Did you know Goody has a Last Name? Yup, it seems that Goofy’s entire name is Goofy Goof
I find this interesting because so many of the Disney characters are named with their animal type as their last name, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Clarabelle Cow…, that Goofys’ last name being “Goof” just seems weird. But I will say it is fitting!
Look at the initials on the metal sphere behind him: GG!

I think I heard that one time. It does seem odd, yet appropriate! 🙂
I wonder if he is maybe not actually a dog then. That would clear up some of the Goofy/Pluto issues.
