Wordless Wednesday – Celebrate Your Country Disney Parks Style

May 29, 2013 by Aunesty Reikofski 18 Comments

This week’s Wordless Wednesday theme is near and dear to my heart.  As a mom of a soldier, and knowing that so many of our young men and women put their lives on the line for our freedom makes every holiday that celebrates the sacrifices that are made for our freedom so much more to me.

I am regularly blown away by everything Disney does for our military personnel.  From their exclusive Disney Resort, Shades of Green, to special park tickets and the daily flag retreat ceremony.

Beautiful pictures! love the shirts and the flag on the jacket. I didn’t know about Shades of Green either and will have to let my brother know. It is so wonderful that Disney honors the active military and veterans. The Army men are always cool! Thanks for your sacrifice as a military mom.

I’d never heard of Shades of Green until this week, and I’ve seen a couple of people mention it now. Sounds like a great organization. The army men are possibly the most appropriate picture for Memorial Day that I’ve seen so far this week. Great choice.

Thank you – – Shades of Green is pretty amazing. The first picture, is my son on the far right, he is a soldier in the US Army, my daughter in the middle and her boyfriend on the far left. When my son was here on Exodus over the holidays, we got to experience how Disney does Military tickets. The discount was amazing, and we toured Shades of Green as well… Gorgeous resort!

Thank you so much for using today to pay tribute to our Military! There is no better way to celebrate America than to honor them! Love the Green Army men-they are one of my favorite as they march their way through Disney California Adventure Park
